Product description
Wiking® Flock Fibres are made of polypropylene, which has been extruded into thin tows of monofilament fibre – depending on customer requirements. The inherent properties of polypropylene make them ideal for flocking, the creation of a velvety textile surface.
Low density
Polypropylene fibres are the lightest of all synthetic fibres (measured in density). Hence, the fibres can provide the required area coverage at a lower weight.
Chemically and biologically resistant
Unlike all other synthetic fibres, polypropylene fibres are resistant to both acids and bases. Wiking® Flock Fibres will therefore ensure a highly durable surface. Moreover, the fibres do not rot and have a natural ability to withstand attacks by insects and microorganisms.
Also, whether wet or dry, Wiking® Flock Fibres will preserve a high level of tensile strength – unlike most types of fibres.
Flexible production to your needs
Wiking® Flock Fibres are manufactured in accordance with customer requirements. The fibres can also be specially treated with UV stabilizers during manufacturing to protect the fibres from damages caused by UV sunlight.
