Danish Fibres Receives International Certification – Only Third Company Worldwide

Danish Fibres Polymer Fibres has been officially tested and approved by the Slovak institute Technický a skúšobný ústav stavebný, n. o., becoming only the third company worldwide to receive this specific recognition. The conducted Creep Test confirms that the company’s fibres for concrete reinforcement can withstand long-term load without loss of strength – a critical property in modern construction.

The creep test evaluates how materials behave under constant loading over time. It is not merely a strength test, but a measure of stability and durability in real-life conditions. For Danish Fibres, whose fibres are used in reinforced concrete structures, these are essential parameters: the fibres must perform not only during casting but also continue to support structural safety for many years.

The test was carried out in accordance with the recommendation of RILEM Technical Committee 261-CCF, which defines a recognized method for determining the flexural tensile strength of fibre-reinforced concrete at different levels of deformation.

The test documented high residual flexural tensile strength at various deformation levels (CMOD), underlining the fibres’ resistance to weakening over prolonged use. This is particularly relevant for structural applications where sustained stress and strain are part of everyday conditions – such as floors, walls, tunnels, or industrial construction.

“This certification is a key milestone for us. It confirms that our fibres are a reliable choice for demanding construction environments, where long-term performance and strength are essential,” says Palle Kuntz, CEO and President at Danish Fibres.
