We Regenerate, Reuse, and Rethink Waste – Every Day

This commitment is not just a statement – it has led to measurable results in production. Where production waste once reached 7–8%, today it has been reduced to virtually zero. All surplus material from the production line is now regenerated and reintegrated into the process.

The only non-recyclable waste – sweeping residue – has also been drastically reduced. What used to require up to eight containers per week now fits into just two small containers. Meanwhile, all cardboard and plastic waste from packaging is sold for recycling, and newly purchased cardboard boxes are made from 90% recycled material, while plastic is made from 100 % recycled material.

Danish Fibres is moving towards a near-closed-loop production, where waste becomes a new resource – and sustainable choices are part of everyday operations.
