Product description
Wiking® Macro Fibres are made of 100% virgin polypropylene, which has been extruded, oriented, shrunk and subsequently cut in lengths as required. The macro fibres provide a high level of tensile strength and may serve as a cost-effective alternative to steel mesh and bars.
Increased tensile strength
When the Wiking® Macro Fibres are added to the concrete mix, the fibres will form a three-dimensional matrix in the mix and cause for the tensile strength to increase earlier in the drying/hardening phase. As a result, the formation and growth of cracks is prevented, leading to a more durable and strong concrete structure.
Specific gravity of above 1.0
Contrasting to steel fibres, our 3rd generation macro fibres named Wiking® 4050SP do not appear on the surface of concrete. This is because, Wiking® 4050SP fibres have an increased specific gravity of above 1.0, which prohibits them from floating to the surface of concrete. As a result, the concrete product will have a more aesthetic finish and the durability of the structure will increase.
Flexible production that meets your need
We have a flexible production line which easily meets individual customer requirements. Our Wiking® Macro Fibres can be cut into specific lengths or delivered in tow. We also offer special coating for enhanced bonding and an on-site fibre cutting machine for improved efficiency on the building site.
